My philosophy focuses mainly on the components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).  I believe that our thoughts do influence our behaviors and we are further shaped by our own experiences. I also firmly believe that success is not always met one way.  For this reason, I am constantly learning new tools, techniques and strategies to support the client’s I serve.  We as human beings can be successful if we are able to develop the tools needed to become resilient youth and adults. Building resiliency is about learning that we have the capacity to do things on our own and get through challenging times, no matter what life throws our way.   Counseling is not about a therapist telling you what you should do, it is about  forming goals and supporting individuals to shape thoughts and behavior to achieve the goals you set out to accomplish.  This is not always an easy task, but I can promise I will be in that journey with you by your side each step of the way.
