Clinical Mental Health Counselor

“To laugh often and much; To win the respect of the intelligent people and affection of children; To earn the appreciate of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the beauty in others; To leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know that one life has breathed easier because you lived there. This is to have succeeded. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

I believe our purpose is to connect with one another, but to do so by meeting and accepting them where they are, how they are, and when they are. Be curious, not judgmental. Be flexible and open to other perspectives and adaptable to change. Realize that others are going through stuff too, and that it can look and sound like things we might take personally, yet are not so. Instead of assuming that is the case, be curious, ask questions.

My mission is to increase awareness and action toward prevention of collective/mass/organized violence, human trafficking, and suicide.
