Military Trauma - trauma is a natural response to an unnatural set of circumstances. We provide evidence based services to treat traumatic events, to include those related to military service.
LGBTQ+ - we provide individualized therapy services that rely on evidence based practices to support LGBTQ+ clients. We provide compassionate and ethical LGBTQ+ competent care .
TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) - working with clients who have experienced a TBI to build awareness of deficits, develop compensatory strategies, identify goals based on current abilities and deficits, and use cognitive behavior therapy to develop different ways of thinking and problem solving in order to live a meaningful, fulfilling life after injury.
Grief - addresses recent or past loss, but also the anticipation of loss or death. It is not limited to feelings of sadness but also bring up additional feelings such as guilt, yearning, anger, regret, and ambivalence.
Peri-Partum Mood and Anxiety Disorders - PMADs are a range of disorders or experiences throughout pregnancy and after birth. They include previous diagnoses, as well as new symptoms and experiences, and include fathers or partners of the individual carrying the baby.
Christian Counseling - this is when a provider integrates evidence-based practices with a biblical perspective for clients with a christian world view.
Selective Mutism - occurs when the child is mute in two or more settings such as school, home or real-world situations ( Dr. offices, restaurants, stores, a friend's house, etc.). The child may feel as though their words "get stuck" or that they constantly have a spotlight on them. By increasing the child's comfort level in order to lower anxiety, so new learning may take place and the child can make their way towards being verbal in all settings of his/her life.
Bariatric Clearance - gathering information on client medical history, mental health history, eating/thought patterns, self-care patterns of behavior and goals to evaluate and recommend your healthcare provider regarding your readiness and success potential for this surgery. If continued therapeutic services are recommended, those sessions will be taken up by the client’s insurance.
